This is an introductory course which covers preliminary steps that a potential contractor needs to understand and how government agencies make purchases.

Kathy Wajer:

Kathy Wajer joined MD PTAC as a Procurement Specialist in January of 2016, with a focus on assisting small businesses located in the Harford County, Maryland market. Kathy’s experience includes over 30 years in banking, economic development, management of various loan fund programs and the Harford Business Innovation Center for entrepreneurs and small-to-medium sized businesses.

Starting in 2005, Kathy assisted with the Base Closure and Realignment (BRAC) for Aberdeen Proving Ground in Harford County, including extensive work with large and small government contractors and the government contracting opportunities resulting from BRAC. Kathy worked with both the APG Garrison and the APG Office of Small Business Utilization and is known for her wide experience in all aspects of business management.
